LGD 007: He Cares For You

Laying hands and praying for family

I had to stop watching or reading the news especially around the Coronavirus, because there was nothing good that seemed to make the broadcast or article.

It is sad when there is 29 minutes of the world is falling apart, and 1 minute of good happening.

We have something to rejoice and share – we have Christ. This past week, I heard the following statistics:

  • In five (5) weeks, 228,000 people had indicated decisions for Christ over a network of 23,000 churches.
  • Luis Palau and their ministry continue to see approximately 1,000 people come to Christ daily.
  • More people are recovering from the virus that are in critical condition.

This does not mean that our hearts do not break for the those that are hurting and out of work. My heart breaks for those that have been forced into these situations.

In our scripture for today, Peter says,

“Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.”

1 Peter 5:7

That’s right, He cares for you – not because of what you have done, but because of who He is.

As you go through your day, place your worries and fears on Him. Share where your heart is, and what you may be struggling with at this time.

Psst…it doesn’t just have to be about the virus.

He cares about all of you – the good, the bad, and the ugly. When we come and worship at the foot of the cross, we meet Jesus.

God used tax collectors, preachers, businessmen, entertainers – men and women to spread His message. Let’s share the good news and proclaim to the world that God cares your you.

Prayer: Lord, thank you for caring for me. I bring the good, bad and ugly of who I am and place it at the foot of the cross. Thank you for using me to bring the gospel to those who need it whether it be across the globe or next door. Help me to be bold today. I give you my fears and worries. You are awesome – thank you for your love and care! Amen!
