Have you watched the show Songland? If not, you are missing out. Each week it shows what it takes to get a song from good to great with the help of some great producers.
The entire premise of the show is not giving up – no Plan B, just a Plan A.
Our scripture today encourages us not to give up.
“So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.”Galatians 6:9
In life, we get weary. We get tired from exercising, studying, or worrying. This scripture reminds us – do not get tired of doing good.
When was the last time, you were weary from doing good?
Our hearts should be focused on doing good; however, when we let other things creep into our lives, that is when doing good becomes weary.
As believers, we don’t do good works to get us into heaven, we are already secure in our salvation.
We do good works because it’s who we are as believers. When God taps our hearts and asks us to join Him in the work he is doing, we reap a blessing.
Sometimes, though, we give up just before the blessing. It can be from weariness or we didn’t act on what God asked us to do.
There is no condemnation here, I have missed out on many blessings, because I did not act on what God was asking me to do.
I encourage you to listen to the still small voice of the Holy Spirit when He taps your heart and asks you to act.
Prayer: Lord, thank you for today. Thank you for the peace that is beginning to circulate through our communities. We continue to lift up our communities, and those who are hurting today. We ask You to help us not to grow tired of doing good, and we ask You to use us to change generations to come. Thank you for using us in fulfilling Your mission here on earth. Amen!
