Beautiful art is in the eye of the beholder. Some like the classics while others prefer the abstract. Regardless of where you land on the art spectrum, most people believe that each piece of artwork is a masterpiece.
You are a masterpiece.
You were created in the image of our Heavenly Father. In today’s scripture, we see how each one of us was uniquely designed.
“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.”Ephesians 2:10
Our contributions each day serve a greater purpose. As we have seen over the last few days, we were commissioned to stand firm and when we bend a knee we declare our allegiance to God.
God has ordained our days. He knows our comings and our goings. He sees the good and the bad in our lives.
Not for one second did He second guess your entry into this world. You are His masterpiece. You were created for great things.
Great things He planned for long ago – before you were twinkle in your parent’s eyes.
I remember watching this painter randomly paint blotches on a canvas. As you listened to the words of the speaker, the painter was creating an image. You were drawn into his creation. Each brush stroke took you further into the painting.
When the artist finished, you scratched your head because you didn’t see the image. That is, until the artist flipped the painting around to reveal Jesus on the cross.
God wants you to know that you are His masterpiece. You may not see who you are or who you will become, but He does.
When He changes your life and flips your painting around, you see who you are and who you have become because Christ lives in you.
Today, when you look in the mirror, remember you are a masterpiece! You were created by the very best artist – our Creator!
Prayer: Lord, thank you for creating me. Thank you for making me your masterpiece. You have made billions of masterpieces that have walked the globe, and continue to be born every day. Show me a glimpse of how my masterpiece will turn out today. Thank you for creating me! Amen!
