In every corner of the globe, God is working. The media brings us stories of heartache and heartbreak, but rarely do we hear good news.

Does “good news” not sell?
You pick up a newspaper or read from your favorite news app, and the headlines are all the same:
- Economic collapse is eminent
- Stock market plunges, retirees fear their pensions are lost
- Child dies of COVID
- 30 states see COVID cases rise
Where is the good news?
Today, Paul reminds us of the power of the true Good News,
“This same Good News that came to you is going out all over the world. It is bearing fruit everywhere by changing lives, just as it changed your lives from the day you first heard and understood the truth about God’s wonderful grace.”
Colossians 1:6
The Lord is at work across the street and across the globe. Men, women, and children are coming to faith in Christ through the power of His Word and His teachings.
The government may close the physical buildings of the church, but the Church continues to meet the needs of the hurting, helpless and hopeless. The Church never closed its doors when the pandemic hit, it just altered its approach.
As believers share each week in the community over Zoom, online services, and in parks, God is at work to comfort and guide His people. He gives pastors wisdom and guidance for leading their flocks.
Christ emboldens us to spread the message that lives in our hearts – it is the life-changing message of Jesus Christ.
Today, remember, you are a messenger of God sharing His Word that changes lives for all eternity. As Paul reminds us, the Good News changes lives.
Let’s shout it to the world that the Good News changes lives! Now, that’s a headline I would love to read on tomorrow’s front page.
Prayer: Lord, thank you for the reminder of the life-changing message of the Gospel. Thank you for sending your Son to die on the cross for my sins so I can have life. Help me to make a difference in the life of one person today. Amen!
You did make a difference in my life today! I love hearing this each morning.
