I love watching little kids first learn to walk. They push themselves up, wobble, and fall back down. Then they do it all over again.

No doubt this year has been difficult and challenging. As believers, we have been bending the Lord’s ear asking when will it end.
Around every corner, there seems to be a new challenge.
Leaders are being asked to do more – wade into situations they may not be fully equipped to handle, but do it none-the-less.
In today’s passage, we hear from the Psalmist,
“I waited patiently for the LORD; he turned to me and heard my cry.”
Psalms 40:1
“He lifted me out of the pit of destruction, out of the sticky mud. He stood me on a rock. He made my feet steady.”
Psalms 40:2
We feel shaky, and need the Lord to hold us in place. You might feel like you have been crying out to God and He hasn’t heard you.
I assure you, He has heard you.
As believers, we grow in good times and in difficult times. During the difficult times, the silence seems magnified and lonely.
The Lord your God is with you. He loves you, and when you feel like the world is crashing around you, He is there.
He is holding you up and keeping you steady. He places you on a steady rock so you can stand firm.
Today, as you prepare for the weekend, the Lord is with you. He is walking beside you for support and strength. Lean on Him – He is strong when we are weak.
Prayer: Lord, thank you for being my rock and strong fortress. Thank you for making me strong when I wobble. Bless the weekend that is upon us, and help us to find rest and refreshment. Amen!
