Our 2020 Virtual Mexico Missions trip is in full swing, and the house is going up faster than you can believe.

Every year, we start with a fresh slab of concrete, and over the course of a three and a half days, a home is miraculously built.

As YUGO planned for the 2020 teams, there was no way to foresee the global pandemic.

The verse they selected for 2020 is,

“When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them because they were confused and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.'”

Matthew 9:36

In this passage of scripture, Jesus traveled throughout towns and villages, proclaiming the Good News and healing the sick.

He saw the deepest needs in His community, and He did something about it. That’s what we strive to do when we serve our local communities or serve in Mexico.

Our mission is to change communities for Christ in Mexico.

Today, consider how you can make a difference in your local community. It can start with a “hi” or “how are you”; it’s that simple.

Let’s make a difference today.

Prayer: Lord, thanks for allowing us to join you in changing communities for your Kingdom. Please help us make a difference in our local communities or the people we contact today. Amen!

I am the host of an ABF Lifegroup - a collection of folks doing community and life together. We are a ministry of Agoura Bible Fellowship. When I am not leading this group, I love to travel, take photographs, share stories, and design workspaces that matter.
