God’s promises meet us at our most desperate times and in the moments of greatest joy.

When people get married, they wear a wedding ring that has no beginning and no end. The promise to love, honor, and cherish is part of the covenant.
The Lord came to Abraham and promised him descendants, as numerous as the stars in the sky, but he had no offspring at the time.
Today’s passage begins with the covenant promise the Lord made to Abraham and finishes with this powerful message.
The author says,
“We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, where our forerunner, Jesus, has entered on our behalf. He has become a high priest forever”
Hebrews 6:19-20a
Jesus paved the way for you and me. He bore my sins, so I would not have to suffer.
When we lose our focus, we can rest in the assurance that our hope and anchor are in Christ.
I know I need this reminder many times, and you might need it as well.
God is our rock and our salvation. He is the anchor for our soul.
Prayer: Lord, thanks for being my rock and my anchor. Thank you for sending Jesus to save me for eternity. Amen!
