It’s Thanksgiving week, and yesterday we saw how God is good.

The heavens declare His glory, and if you have traveled to Big Sky country, you can witness the beauty and majesty of a star-studded sky.

As we continue in our Thanksgiving series, the psalmist continues,

“Give thanks to him who alone does mighty miracles. His faithful love endures forever.

Give thanks to him who made the heavens so skillfully. His faithful love endures forever.

Give thanks to him who placed the earth among the waters. His faithful love endures forever.”

Psalms 136:4-6

God’s attributes are on display in our passage today. He made the heavens, and He created the Earth and placed it in the solar system.

The psalmist has heard and experienced God’s power and faithfulness. He heard from his ancestors the mighty miracle of the Red Sea parting.

The author may have witnessed Goliath taking a nosedive after mocking God and the Israelites.

The Lord’s faithfulness continues daily, and we see it repeated here, “His faithful love endures forever.”

When the day or the week does not go how we planned, we can rest on the promise of His love.

Today, take a minute to reflect on the majesty of the world He created.

Prayer: Lord, thank you for creating this beautiful world. We praise you for who You are and Your love and faithfulness. Amen!
