We continue in our Thanksgiving week series as we saw the creativity and majesty of the Lord’s creation.

Photographers love the morning hours – they call it the “golden hour.” There is something magical about the early morning.
While in the Yellowstone area, I had to rise early for a race. As we drove through the valley, the sun was rising and mixing with the mist of the morning, and it was gorgeous.
The psalmist says,
“Give thanks to him who made the heavenly lights—His faithful love endures forever.
The sun to rule the day, His faithful love endures forever.
And the moon and stars to rule the night. His faithful love endures forever.”
Psalms 136:7-9
Whether we appreciate the heavens that God has created or the morning light, God’s promises continue.
The pairing of God’s creation with our Creator’s steadfastness meets us when we need it most.
God is unchanging, and His mercies are new each day. The sunrise in the evening turns to a refreshing sunrise bringing the splendor of a new day.
Today, enjoy God’s sunrise or sunset.
Prayer: Lord, thank you for the sunrise and the beauty of each sunset. Thank you for the daily resets that allow us to rest and refresh. Thank you for your love and faithfulness. Amen!
