As we enter a new round of safer at home orders, it is easy for us to become discouraged, especially right before the holidays.

It is disappointing that our holidays, as we know them, will not be the same. Thoughts and concerns linger in the background about the health and safety of ourselves, our family, and our loved ones.
However, as believers, we have a peace that passes understanding. That does not mean that we do not have anxious moments, stress, or struggle.
Today, the words from Paul give us strength,
“Now may the Lord of peace himself give you his peace at all times and in every situation. The Lord be with you all.”
2 Thessalonians 3:16
At times when our world is tossed upside down, we need a reminder of God’s peace.
Scripture provides them to us. It’s like a warm blanket that wraps us and gives us comfort.
What is comforting about this verse are four words – “peace at all times.” Not peace in certain situations, but all times and “in every situation.”
We often need to be reminded that God is with us, and His peace is with us.
Today, take a few minutes to rest and be still before the Lord and feel His peace.
Prayer: Lord, thank you for giving us your peace, especially in turbulent times. Please help us to rest in your arms today. Amen!
